With over 20 years of experience, I provide compassionate psychological care for children, teens, adults, and families.
Meet Dr. Mitesh Parekh
I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and grow into their fullest potential. My career began with a strong focus on children, adolescents, and young adults, supporting them through struggles with anxiety, depression, attention and behavioral difficulties, family communication, and attachment challenges. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with families, schools, and communities across Southern California to foster healthier relationships and brighter futures for young people.
In addition to my child and adolescent expertise, I have developed a deep passion and specialization in working with adults recovering from narcissistic abuse and covert control. I understand the profound impact such relationships can have on one’s sense of self, and I am dedicated to helping clients rebuild confidence, reclaim their voice, and restore trust in themselves and others.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe therapy should not only address difficulties but also nurture resilience, self-awareness, and personal growth. Whether I am working with a child struggling to find their place in the world, a teenager facing life’s pressures, or an adult healing from toxic relationships, my goal is the same: to provide a safe and supportive space where healing and transformation can occur.
At the heart of my work is a genuine love for psychology and a deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help. I am continually inspired by my clients’ ability to grow, heal, and thrive, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside them on that journey.

Our Four-Legged Therapy Companion
Sonu is a 5-year-old toy poodle and a beloved member of our therapy practice. Weighing in at just 7 pounds, he may be small — but his impact is big.
Sonu joined the practice in 2020, just as many clients were returning to therapy after the isolation and stress of the pandemic. His gentle presence has provided comfort, connection, and even a few well-timed smiles during emotionally difficult sessions.
Sonu is calm, friendly, and intuitively sensitive to people’s moods. Whether he’s sitting quietly beside a child who’s feeling anxious or resting near a teen who needs support without words, Sonu offers a soothing presence that helps clients feel more at ease.
He is hypoallergenic, non-shedding, and always clean and well-groomed. Sonu is never intrusive — he’s happy to be part of the session if you’d like, or to stay in his cozy bed if you prefer a dog-free space. Your comfort is always the priority.
Whether you’re coming to therapy for the first time or returning after a break, Sonu and I are here to support you — together.
